Club Update – Return to Competitions

Club Update – Return to Competitions

To all members,

COMPETITIONS WILL RE-COMMENCE ON SATURDAY 30TH MAY!

The new temporary rules (link below) will be emailed, posted on the Facebook page, and posted in the foyer at the Club. (On the left noticeboard as you walk in from outside).

We have needed to adjust the way scores are to be submitted for the foreseeable future. Please make sure you know what you need to do. Scorecards (if used) cannot be left at the club and will not be accepted. Use of scorecards is not the preferred way of submission and creates a lot more work.  Anyone using the MiScore app will find scoring and submitting scores very easy and will help us finalise competitions in a timely manner. We cannot stress enough the need for you to use the app if you can. If you are still unsure of what is required after reading the new temporary rules, please email me at clubcaptain@queensparkgolfclub.com and I will respond as soon as I am able. If you would like to put your phone number on your email, I may be able to help you over the phone for simple queries.

The fixture for missed and future trophy rounds and competitions will be incorrect on MiClub and the Fixture book. There will be changes needed and unfortunately some trophy competitions may be cancelled this year. Once we have ensured the new system is working and have ironed out any bugs, we will update the new fixture and advise you all. Board events will take priority over all other trophy events.

We hope that you can appreciate the measures that have been put in place are for everyone’s safety. The extra procedures we have put in place for non-app users do result in a lot of extra work for us to manually enter scores. Please understand, there may be hiccups and delays whilst the committees are learning how to cope with the situation whilst helping all members to play in Club competitions. We will keep reviewing the new temporary rules and will update when and where we can improve procedures.

Yours in competition golf,

Clay Green
QPGC Club Captain
On behalf of the QPGC Match Committee
